This policy explains how the iPhone app "Keepline" (the "App"), provided by an independent developer (the "Developer"), handles your information.
The App has no sign-up or login, and the Developer does not operate any servers. The App has no feature that sends or receives data over the internet, and it contains no third-party code for advertising or analytics. The numbers, dates, notes, attachments and other content you enter in the App ("Your Cards") are stored only on your device and are never sent to the Developer.
This information is stored encrypted using iPhone's data protection. Lines and attachments you mark as "Protect" are additionally encrypted with the App's key and require Face ID or your passcode to show. The key is kept in the iPhone Keychain.
If you delete the App, this information is also deleted from your device. To keep a backup, use "Export" in the App's Settings. The exported file is encrypted with a password you choose, and you choose where it is saved. It is not sent to the Developer.
The App uses Face ID (or your passcode) to confirm it is you before showing protected lines and attachments. Your face data is handled by iPhone and is never received by the App or the Developer.
The camera is used only when you scan paper documents, such as warranties, into PDFs to attach to a card. Scanned images are saved on your device as attachments.
The App shows the number of upcoming expiry dates as a badge on its icon. The number is calculated and scheduled on your device and is not sent anywhere. The App does not play sounds or show banners.
When you copy a protected line, the copy is kept on this iPhone only and is cleared after 60 seconds.
When you choose the App from the Share menu in Mail, Safari or other apps, the App receives only the files you share and attaches them to a card.
Purchasing and restoring the App is handled by Apple's App Store. The Developer does not receive any payment information. Your purchase status is checked through Apple's systems.
Tapping a phone number or website on a card opens iPhone's Phone app or Safari. What happens after that follows the policies of those apps and the other party.
If you use iPhone backups (iCloud Backup or a backup to a computer), the App's data is included in them. Backups are handled under the Apple Privacy Policy.
If you contact the Developer by email, the Developer receives your email address and the content of your message. This information is used only to reply to you and is not shared with third parties unless required by law. Inquiry information is kept only as long as needed to handle the inquiry and is deleted when no longer necessary.
The App is not designed mainly for children. The Developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
This policy may be updated when the App's features change. Any update will be posted on this page with a new date.
