Keepfolio Terms of Use

Effective date: October 25, 2026

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the iPhone app "Keepfolio" (the "App"), provided by an independent developer (the "Developer"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Relationship with Apple's license agreement

Your license to use the App is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These Terms supplement it. If the two conflict, Apple's agreement takes priority.

2. Your data

The cards you create in the App are stored only on your device. They may be lost if your device breaks or is lost, if you delete the App, or after an OS update. Please back up your data regularly using "Export" in Settings. If you forget the password you set when exporting, that file cannot be imported. The Developer cannot recover your data or passwords.

3. About expiry information

The time remaining, colors and icon badge shown by the App are estimates calculated from the dates you enter. Always check the actual expiry dates and renewal timing of passports, licenses, contracts and other documents with the issuer's guidance or the original documents. The Developer is not liable for consequences of errors in or oversight of what the App shows (except as provided in the proviso of Section 7).

4. Paid feature (Buy Keepfolio)

The App is free to download, and you can create up to 5 cards. "Buy Keepfolio" is a one-time purchase that removes the card limit.
Purchases, payments and refunds follow Apple's App Store terms and procedures. Please contact Apple to request a refund.
After changing devices or reinstalling, you can restore your purchase from "Restore Purchases" in Settings. Family Sharing is supported.

5. A note on what you store

We recommend keeping passwords, credit card security codes and PINs in a dedicated tool such as iPhone's Passwords app rather than in the App.

6. Prohibited actions

You must not:

use the App in violation of laws or public order and morals;
decompile, modify or redistribute the App, or do anything else not permitted by Apple's license agreement;
interfere with the operation of the App.

7. Warranty and liability

The Developer does not guarantee that the App will meet your needs or be free from errors or interruptions. The Developer is not liable for any damage arising from your use of the App, except in cases of the Developer's intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or where such an exclusion is not permitted by law.

8. Changes to or end of the App

The Developer may change the App or stop providing it without prior notice.

9. Changes to these Terms

The Developer may change these Terms where the change benefits users generally, or where it is reasonable in light of its necessity, the appropriateness of its content and other circumstances. Before a change takes effect, the new Terms and the effective date will be announced on this page or by another appropriate method.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Otsu District Court as the court of first instance.
